Does the centre provide snacks and/or lunches?
The center provides two snacks
each day. A hot lunch program is available for $3.00 at the main center location. All meals and snacks meet Manitoba Early Learning and Child Care AND Canada Food Guide criteria. Taché Community Day Care is a peanut-free facility. A menu is available at both center locations and online.
Does my child have to nap?
No. When deciding what is best for your child regarding napping, however, please remember that the environment here is often different from the environment at home.
Will the centre administer medication to my child?
The centre will administer prescription medication to children if a medication form is filled out and the medication is in its original container. The center will NOT administer over-the-counter medication to children (except in emergency).
Does the centre have different hours for holidays?
Information regarding holiday closures will be posted, well in advance, as they occur.
Does my child have to go outside if they
If your child is too sick to go outside they are too sick to be at the center.
Do I have to participate in fundraising?
All parents/foster parents are expected to participate in fundraising activities. The money generated by fundraising enables the centre to provide a comprehensive summer program.
When can my child return to the centre
after he or she is sick?
Typically, your child may, typically may return to the center after being without symptoms for 24 hours. For clarification refer to Taché Community Day Care's Parent Policy Manual.
